Defer a Full Academic Year

Incoming first year students:

  • Do not accept your CAO offer
  • Do not make any payments
  • Apply for CAO deferral CAO First Year Deferral Application
  • If the deferral for first year is not granted, you may still accept the offer through the CAO to begin first year
  • In order to take up a deferred place for first year only, applicants must re-appy through CAO by 1st February of the succeeding year, placing the deferred course as the first and only preference

Progressing Students
Continuing students should complete a deferral form and submit to the Admissions Office or email deferrals.cw@setu.ie in order to request deferral of an academic year.
